On term life insurance

When you talk about term life insurance, one story to tell is that of A.O. Williams, a high school football coach whose father took out some whole life insurance on himself, then died. At the funeral, his accountant cousin told him that if his father had had term insurance, he could have been insured for a lot higher amount, leaving A O's mother in much better financial condition. Furious, AO researched the insurance industry, then launched his own company, A O Williams, which he eventually sold and the name was changed to PrimeAmerica. They sell only term, not whole life, because of A.O.'s father.
