On a Sylvania light bulb

I check a lot of CDs out of the local library. I sure don't want to pay for them, and I can take them back when I get tired of them, and get new ones. Since they're free, I can also experiment by getting some that I hope I'll enjoy but don't know for sure. Right now I'm listening to a "newer" one by Bob Dylan, and I can't say I'm happy about it. His voice was always rough, and that was part of his talent, but on these recordings his voice just sounds like he's shredded his voice box. The musical backing is interesting in many cases, but I can't get used to this old voice that sounds vaguely familiar but just isn't what it used to be, though I guess the same can be said of many of my physical abilities. Used to be Bob Dylan could sing about Sylvania light bulbs and the song and the voice would be compelling.
