In today's economy, people are concerned about getting into some career that will not go away and make them laid off. Therefore, many people are now interested in healthcare jobs, and this is a smart choice for anybody who can handle. There are still a lot of great financial pressure on doctors and many don't make the huge bucks that doctors used to. However, other medical personnel -- while not as highly paid as doctors -- are still in demand. Nurses, of course, can command a lot of money if they're experienced and good. And there are physical therapists, respiratory therapists, x-ray technicians and so on. You have to be pretty smart, because everything requires technical knowledge and skills to apply, but you're almost certainly guaranteed to have a growing demand for your services.
