On bcbsnc

One thing I found interesting when reading Robert Ressler's book WHOEVER FIGHTS MONSTERS is his observation that serial killers don't really come out of nowhere, although they seem to, and that seems to be the fictional presentation, at least as I remember them. They start out having violent fantasies when very young, and these just grow and grow and take over, and they have many problems growing up. Some are with dysfunctional families and things they didn't cause, but also they cause some of their problems. They engage is other, more minor crimes before they become full-fledged serial killers. They rob, rape, perform small acts of violence randomly. Although some are very intelligent and plan their crimes well, they have histories, or have stolen women's clothing and stuff like that. They just don't sign up with bcbsnc and then become psychiatrists and then turn into cannibals.
