All 5 of the Top 5

Last night I heard something on one of the local oldies stations
that I hadn't realized had happened. And it reinforces my
previous points about how during Beatlemania
The Beatles dominated the charts in a way nobody since
then has or could duplicate.

On April 4, 1964, they had ALL FIVE songs in the Top
5 Singles.

"I Want to Old Your Hand"
"She Loves You"
"Love Me Do"
"Twist and Shout"

and I forget the 5th one. And they didn't say what order,
but it's a good bet that "I Want to Hold Your Hand" was
Number one.

Nobody since then has ever had all 5 positions in the
Top 5. It's extremely rare for anybody to have even more
than one song on the charts at one time, let alone 5.
