Drug rehab common for musicians

It's no secret that musicians are particularly fond of drugs. That's been true since very early jazz musicians smoked marijuana and used cocaine -- long before such drugs were common among the general population. Drinking is so common it's hardly worth mentioning. Even old time country musicians used bennies, which they probably got from truck drivers, and Hank Williams was a pain drug addict as well as probably an alcoholic. And the 1960s were full of accusations that the music contained drug references. True in some cases -- "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds". Ridiculous in other cases -- "Puff the Magic Dragon." So it's hardly news any more when a musician has to go into drug rehab. In fact, it's news when they don't.
