On auto insurance quote

Lately I've been reading THE DOOR TO DECEMBER by Dean R Koontz. It's fairly interesting and upsetting. Though also irritating in a way, since in his effort to build our sympathy for the heroes, he has them do things which strike me as stupid. The mother who finally gets her daughter back after six years and the girl is a total autistic space cadet, is a child psychiatrist who decides to treat her daughter herself. That's patently stupid, and why Koontz endorses it is beyond me. And her first treatment is to HYPNOTIZE her, even though she needs to focus back on the real world outside herself. It's evident that Koontz doesn't know much about or understand hypnotism. And the police detective on the case wants to be the solitary hero. He doesn't need an auto insurance quote to find the bug on his car the FBI plants there.
