On custom software

I'm listening to a CD I checked out from the local library -- I hate to pay for them now, after I wasted so much money on records in my youth. It's a concert by Ringo Starr and his All Star Band. Apparently most of his post-Beatles career after he had a few hits in the 1970s has been putting together good musicians and touring. The musicians come and go according to their careers. But why not play with him if your current band is resting or defunk? Although he never gained the reputation or success of the other three, he is still Ringo - still 1/4 of the greatest rock and roll band of all time. That should count for something. I remember reading he once said he drums by keeping time with his heart, not a computer. So he wouldn't be in the market for custom software to add millesecond perfection to his drum music.
