On dog ramps

One thing that's bugged me when I was delivering pizzas, was how many people would delay opening the door, making me wait (when possibly I was very busy and had many other orders to deliver) while they reined in their barking dogs. Getting somebody to hold Rover. Or to lock him into another room. Etc. Or sometimes they let the dog rush out to jump on me while trying to get to the pizza or smell my crouch (always fun). All these people knew that they'd ordered pizza and I was on the way, but they never corralled Rover until I actually got to the door. Sometimes I'd see little doggy doors built into a door, so Rover could come and go as he wanted. You could also have dog ramps connecting the door to the ground.

On employee screening

I'm continually amazed at our stupid some people are in relation to computers and the Internet. For example, kids taking nude pictures of themselves and sending them. Obviously these could be sent online, and thirty years from now people could still be looking at them. They even take camera-photos during sex. More common but also stupid is putting up stupid pages on MySpace and Facebook. Then when they calm down and want to get a good job, they're not told that they didn't get the job because the company checks those sites during their employee screening process. But maybe one day they'll have to accept that all serious applicants will have pages bragging about their drinking exploits.
