March winner -- Pink Floyd

A local oldies (though focussed more on 70s rock than
stuff from the 60s) ran some playoffs through the month
of March, to coincide with the March basketball playoffs.

The idea was the pick the most popular classic rock
group.

I don't know how they arrived at the initial setup, but during
a certain period you could call or go onto their web site
and vote for the artist you preferred, of the two choices.

The winner advanced to the next round.

Surprisingly, groups such as The Beatles and The Rolling
Stones were eliminated very early on.

The final winner?

Pink Floyd.
