On managed hosting service

I have had a lot of run-ins with customer service and technical people on the phone, but I also understand that it must be very hard to try to diagnose and solve problems based on what people are telling you. Another friend of my mother's has Internet access through the local cable company. She uses Internet Explorer for her browser, but claims it lacks the basic menu bar of File, Edit etc that I thought every Windows program had to have as standard equipment, as dictated by Microsoft. She also told me that her email program refused to attach files, but she didn't seem to understand that the C drive meant her hard drive, so I'm not so sure she was really accessing the files of the pictures she wanted to attach to her emails. But it's hard to say without really trying to use her computer myself. For the menu bar I suggested she right click and look at what had a check mark and what didn't, and trying to get what she wanted to show. I don't know what they'd do with a managed hosting service.
