On xd picture card

One of these days I'd like to give my mother one of those electronic picture frames, which has a lot of pictures in its memory, and it displays them one after the other. They're somewhat expensive anyway, at least for me, and then there'd be the additional work of actually putting the pictures into the memory. I don't have any family pictures in my possession, so I'd have to get them from here, and they'd have to be digitized somehow, which I supposed would be an additional expense that would add up quite a bit. I don't know whether or not an xd picture card would help.
