On the Emu Australia and more

A lesser known but related bird to the ostrich is the Emu Australia. It's a pretty weird and funny looking type of bird also, so I'm not sure why they're so much less well known than ostriches. Maybe they don't stick their heads in the sand. They don't like arid areas as far as that goes. They also are too big to fly, reaching up to six feet tall, and can run up to 30 miles per hour, which seems awful fast for a funny looking bird that can't even fly. They're now becoming well known for their meat.

On truck accessories

Last night I was riding in a van going through roads in relatively rural (outside Manila but not in the jungle) The Philippines. I was surprised that we saw so many jeepneys still operating at 3 o'clock in the morning. I wasn't surprised to see a fair number of trucks. I am assume that whether they use many truck accessories, they had to go a long distance in a short time. This of course is common, and it can't be an easy job in The Philippines where driving conditions are difficult even in the developed areas. I don't know how they get items to the real jungle areas.
